SAERA focuses on targeting the Asian market following Australia and Japan. Official “Focus on developing products targeting overseas markets… We will grow into a global shoe brand.”

SAERA Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Se-kwang), a company specializing in women’s shoes, announced on the 00th that it will pursue full-fledged expansion of its export network amid the strong export performance of its own brands ‘SAERA’ and ‘Natural Flex’ to Japan and Australia.

SaeraBlossom Korea, which originated from a salon shoe store established near ‘Ewha Womans University’ in Seoul in 1978, develops original and innovative lasts (shoe soles) and leads various styles, good materials, and trends under the corporate philosophy of ‘comfortable and good-looking shoes’. The company has established its own unique identity in the domestic women’s shoes market by focusing on design and other features.

In celebration of its 40th anniversary in 2018, the company changed its name from Cera Shoes to SaeraBlossom Korea, and through continuous change and innovation, it has grown into a fashion company with sales of over 30 billion won. Currently, there are ‘SAERA’, an online brand targeting young career women that expresses elegance and chic at the same time, ‘SAERA BLOSSOM’, an online brand with a trendy style and reasonable price, and ‘SAERA COMPORT LAB’ that pursues practicality and comfort. It owns brands such as ‘SAERA HOMME’, high-quality men’s shoes with 45 years of technology-intensive, and is currently sold in major department stores and outlets in Korea. 

Subsequently, SaeraBlossom Korea also launched ‘Natural Flex’, a brand specializing in comfort shoes.

‘Natural Flex’ is a specialized comfort shoe brand from Sera based on patented technologies, such as a technology that cuts into the inside of the shoe and inserts a protective cushion to prevent heel scratches, and a method of rolling in and sewing the edges of the inner and outer shoes. The brand entered the Australian market last year and attracted attention by recording sales of approximately $112,100 in the first year of export, despite being a domestic company with no previous overseas export performance. An offline store is scheduled to open in Melbourne, Australia’s second largest city, and sales are expected to increase further.

SaeraBlossom Korea, which began its export business last year with the export of ‘Natural Flex’ to Australia, is currently planning to export to Japan in earnest by signing an official partnership with Japan’s M2O for ‘Natural Flex’ and ‘Saera’. M2O is currently engaged in businesses such as lighting interior design, web marketing, and brand agent for many department stores and luxury shops in Japan, including Mitsukoshi, Sogo, Isetan, and Takashimaya.

In particular, M2O is also pursuing the opening of additional offline stores through discussions with business partners in central Japan and Kyushu. Recently, CEO YOSHIKI MATSUO and executives visited SaeraBlossom Korea headquarters and stores to develop new products targeting the Japanese market. and discussions on strengthening R&D

An official from SaeraBlossom Korea said, “This year, we plan to embark on an aggressive export movement focusing on Asian markets such as Thailand, Taiwan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam.” He added, “To this end, we have formed a separate online division in charge of overseas marketing and sales.” “We are focusing our company-wide capabilities on developing customized products to target overseas markets, focusing on our R&D center.”.

The official continued, “Currently, we have already opened a store on ‘Shopee,’ the largest online shopping platform in Southeast Asia, and we are also pursuing live shopping to open a store on the Chinese e-commerce platform, ‘Taobao’. and “Last April, we were able to confirm the global competitiveness of our brand by participating in ‘FASHION WORLD TOKYO,’ Japan’s largest international fashion show with participation from more than 40 countries around the world. As the saying goes, ‘Good shoes take you to good places,’ we will do our best to grow into a global brand that can be loved by people around the world.”
